Indian Institute of Technology, Patna

Located in the capital city of Bihar, Patna, the institute came into existence in 2008 joining the league of other IITs which have done nation proud. The institute will renew the hopes of Bihar which was the learning centre in past and is sure to ignite the young minds like Super 30 who have made it to various IITs, premiere institute for science and technologies.

IIT Patna is being placed under the guidance of IIT Guwahati till it come into shape; also the main campus will be sited outskirt of Patna which is slated to be completed by July 2010. The classes are started in Navin Govt. Polytechnic, Pataliputra Colony. The Polytechnic institute is the temporary campus. At present IIT Patna offers B.Tech in three disciplines including BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, BTech in Electrical Engineering, BTech in Mechanical Engineering. The sanctioned strength of batch-2008 is 120 from July 2009.
