Ambedkar Institute of Technology

Ambedkar Institute of Technology was started during 2001-2002 with 30 intakes in each ECE and CSE branch. Ambedkar Institute of Technology is located at Shakarpur, East Delhi. The Foundation Stone of new campus was laid by Honorable Chief Minister of Delhi Mrs. Sheila Dixit on 24th May 2006.

The three B.Tech programs of the institute are Computer Science, Electronics & Communication engineering and Information Technology. There are 60 seats in each branch. The Department of Electronics & Communication comprises of 12 fully equipped labs. The students have easy access to CRO’s, power supplies, function generator, trainer kits as well as relevant analog & digital IC’s. The computer lab is equipped with 30 IBM, Compaq P-IV machines of latest configuration. All the labs are internally networked and inter-connected to each other to form a LAN.

Computer Science department is the most versatile department of the institute. The main objective of the department is exposure to new soft wares so that students can adapt to the current needs of the industry. Department of Electronics and Communication has an excellent reputation for both its teaching and research. The department has well qualified staff members, with both academic and industrial experience.

The institute also promotes extracurricular activities in the campus. The students of Ambedkar Institute of Technology are encouraged to take active parts in sports activities. Inter-college competitions held yearly.

A salient feature of the academic activities in the institute is that the students as well as the faculty members are provided with opportunities for their professional growth. Every year, numerous professional activities are held in the institute. Industrial visits and lectures of experts from the industry form an integral part of the curriculum. Students are encouraged to become members of important professional bodies like IEE, IEEE. Thus, the department does not merely provide up-to-date knowledge, but also equips the students with the skills and aptitude for modern areas in the field of electronics & communication. The institute believes in the personality development of the students.

The institute has made great progress in the field of Computer Science, Electronics & Communication engineering.
