Schools in Delhi

Delhi has a long list of educational institutes, schools and university. From private school to government school, Delhi is always the centre of education. The literacy rate of Delhi is around 82%. More than 5000 schools are in Delhi where more than 1.7 million students study. The most of he schools of Delhi follow the syllabus of CBSE, the state board is also popular and most of the Government schools follow the syllabus of Delhi state board. The schools are mostly english medium.

Even a student from poor family also continue study in State Government schools. The government introduced many schemes to increase the literacy rate in poor students. Government schools serve free meal to the children from poorer sections, also provides books and dress free to the students.
