Jawaharlal Nehru University - Delhi

Jawaharlal Nehru University is located in New Delhi, occupying an entire area of almost 4 square kilometer of land. Named after the former Prime Minister of India, with its 10 schools and 4 independent special centers, this premiere educational institution has been a very successful torchbearer of advance study on social justice, international relation, science and technology, literature & language, journalism and many more since 1969.

With more then 5500 students, and a faculty strength of around 550, this research oriented post graduate university, is a citadel of academic excellence and a melting pot in the true sense where caste, creed, nationality, gender cannot demarcate and quest for education precedes all. A unique multicultural model set up with the prime objective of enlightening students of the third world country. The campus of this classic university is situated in the Southern part of Delhi amidst a well maintained patch of forest land. Over 200 kinds of birds and different types of other wildlife like peacock, jackals, mongooses, nil gais are at galore. Situated in this breathtaking setting, the university with its nine storied library surrounded by the huge lecture hall houses both Indian as well as more then 400 foreign students around the globe, FSA or foreign students association is an autonomous body that looks after the welfare of foreign students. The University holds entrance exam in the month of May and admission to full time courses had to be taken by clearing these exams. JNU with its heritage of almost four decades continue spreading its rich legacy to more and more students all over the world with each passing day.
