Indian Institute of Technology - Kanpur

Established in 1959 in the industrial city of Kanpur, one of premiere technological institutes has been a centre of research and teaching in engineering and science. IITK is also the first institute where Computer Science course was introduces in 1963. Later in 1971 it started imparting M.Tech and PhD degrees.

Courses Details

UnderGraduate : It include 4 year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) also there is 5 year Dual Programme which offer degree in B. Tech- M. Tech and Msc.

Admissions : Through IIT-JEE (IIT Joint Entrance Exam) once in a year.

Postgraduate : Two year postgraduate courses includes -Master of Technology (M.Tech) and PhD. It also offers MBA (2 years), M.Sc. (2 years) and M. Des program. Admissions -through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) once in a year.

Department : Other than engineering and science department, IITK also has the Humanities and social science departments.
